HIKING SHARA (the coloured mountain) [SK308HN12]

Popova Sapka ski resort (1760m) at 8:30. Start our hike from there towards Ceripasina mountain and Anteni peak (2550m) following a beautiful ridge line that is situated between two big rocks (Orlova stena and Babotov kuk) where possibilities of eagle sightings exist. In one and a half hour we should reach peak Anteni - beautiful panorama opens up of the Upper Leshnica region and Polog valley. Climbing over 3 peaks, reaching the stone tower on the Titov vrv peak itself.

An easy 4-hour hike in an area of amazing pine forests and overhanging rock walls will take us to Leshnica. This area has a truly alpine character that makes it one of the most beautiful places in Macedonia – a must see for every visitor. Trek to the picturesque village Bozovce in aproximatelly 2 hours where our van will take us back to our mountain hut for another relaxing evening under the stars and BBQ dinner. Overnight in mountain hut in Popova Shapka.

Short drive to Veshala village (1230m) we’ll start hiking for 3 hours to reach Karanikolichko Big lake situated at 2190m. 100m above the big lake lays another smaller lake (Small Karanikolichko Lake) at 2290m with its water color completely white. Climb up to Skarpa peak (2444m) and Karanikolicki peak (2348m) in about an hour to fully enjoy the unforgettable panoramic view and have a lunch break. Hike down to the saddle Shara (2000m) and from there back to Veshala village in about two hours where our van will take us back to Skopje.
